About MSID

MSID is a community-driven directory of Indonesian Minecraft servers. We help players discover great Minecraft communities to join and help server owners reach a larger Indonesian audience.

How servers are ranked

Each server's score is recomputed every few minutes using the formula:

score = (votes × 0.95 + uptime × 0.02 + average players × 0.02 + verified × 0.01) × 100

Votes carry the most weight by far — they reset on the first day of every month, so newer servers can climb quickly. Uptime is measured over the last 30 days from MSID's own pings.

Server claiming

Some servers are added by our administrators (typically those with active Indonesian communities) before the owner has registered. If you are the owner of a server we have listed, you can claim it by:

1. Signing in with your Google or Discord account.
2. Visiting the server's detail page and clicking Claim this server.
3. Verifying ownership by placing a short token in the server's MOTD — the API will read it on the next ping.

Once verified, you have full control: edit the listing, upload a banner, configure Votifier rewards, or remove the listing entirely.

Verification

Verified servers are marked with a green checkmark and earn a small score bonus (1%). To verify, the server owner must place a short token in the server's MOTD; our pinger detects it on the next 5-minute cycle.

Voting

Visitors can vote for a server once per 24-hour period (the window resets at noon WIB, GMT+7). Anonymous voting is supported, but providing your Minecraft username is required to receive in-game Votifier rewards if the server has Votifier configured.

Voting is the single biggest input into a server's ranking — if you enjoy a server, voting daily is the easiest way to support it.
