Before joining, know that spawn is usually wrecked and other players can attack at any time. Some anarchy servers ban certain hacks (semi-anarchy), others allow everything. The server description spells out those limits.
Anarchy is nearly always Java Edition. Servers with a long-running world tend to be more interesting because the history and old builds are still there.
